The Innkeeper A Christmas Story Suitable for Primary School This show is particularly suitable for a whole school effort with limited time at the end of the year or schools that haven’t had a great deal of experience putting on a musical. It is approximately 50 minutes long and is a lot of fun with that ‘feel good impact’

INVERCARGILLSYNOPSIS
The Poor Innkeeper has been so busy lately and people keep knocking at his door. The Knocking Song becomes central to the story and is very infectious, once heard its in your head for a long time. There is the opportunity for some little rappers to do their thing in the opening number. The show has a 'kiwi' element to it with some cows and sheep who appear and argue about who is the more important in the country. The Queens and Kings spar for who has the most authority and there is a fun song about the importance of cars, it takes the form of a cross between “Greased Lighting” and the “Wiggles”. Of course Joseph and Mary appear at the Inn, along with both traditional and interestingly new characters. Why are there dancing girls?
