Marilyn Monroe? Red Riding Hood? The Big Bad Wolf? What are they doing here in Snow White?? As for those Dwarfs – well only one of them is small! And what are they doing wearing overalls and why are they so smelly?
All will be revealed in this hilarious version of Snow White. While several additional characters almost make the narrator hysterical the traditional Wicked Queen, Woodsman (although why is he always crying?), the handsome prince and of course the beautiful traditional Snow White are all there.
The nosy talking forest has plenty to say about all who walk near them and even a song or two to sing, adding to the confusion and fun of this lively show.
This musical has two versions and is suitable for children through to adults to perform. Many Primary and Elementary Schools have performed this show as well as High Schools and amateur theatre groups.
The show is approximately 60 or 90 minutes in length and has a cast of 30+ with 20 speaking parts, which could be doubled up if necessary. Ideal if you are looking a great comedy school musical or theatre production.
The lead roles are The Narrator, Mirror, Wicked Queen, Three Talking Trees and some Flowers (number is up to you) and of course Snow White. Six of the Dwarfs need to be tall while the seventh, small. Sounds intriguing?
It is! As well as being a load of laughs and constant surprises!

Wow! What an incredible stage experience we were able to give the students of Waikaka School due to Monica’s ‘Maui and the Genie’ show. Not only is it a journey about trust and friendship, personal belief and change, but it also incorporates so many catchy songs which the students loved learning. Directing this show was an enjoyable experience; I was able to take this story and conjure up all sorts of creative scenes, props, and movements for our young thespians. Monica’s expertise was only ever a phone call or message away, and we appreciated the extra effort taken to remaster soundtracks and the changes she made in the script. It was an incredible pleasure to work with Monica. We were lucky enough that she was able to travel south to watch our interpretation of her Maui story, the children got a kick out of meeting the writer and loved hearing her positive feedback.
Absolutely Recommend Monica Moore Productions, Linda Miller - Teacher and Director
Thank you so much Monica for everything and for creating such a wonderful production that the cast and the audiences LOVED so much. I loved the experience I had in this production and the faith that Monica had in me to play a lead role even though I had not been on stage before. Being part of this amazing production made me realise the passion and the talent I have for performing arts. High School Blues opened doors for me as I have gone on to study Performing Arts at tertiary level. High School Blues will always be with me and is the reason why I’m the person I am today. This show gave me the opportunity to find something that I loved doing. I found a whole new world.

The children have loved every minute Monica! Being in the Great Adventure has given me the opportunity to showcase my God given talents. I am honoured that I was a part of something special, something I’ve never tried before. It’s changed my life, it’s taught me that my peers will be with me throughout the show knowing we have have each other’s backs. This has been my first ever professional show. The experience of being in front of a supportive audience, being able to work together as a family to get through tough times. I’d like to thank the Director of it all Monica for making it all possible for us young talented students. We are truly blessed and thankful for your presence.
