Ok, taking deep breaths and trying to calm down…
SO…here’s an outline of the main reasons why we MUST support performing arts.
I’ve made it short and to the point and will be writing more on this later…
WHY is the necessity of Performing Arts Education not obvious??
Our world is made up of interaction, encounters, interpretation, response, reflection, personal growth and creativity of thought.
Exposure to these experiences creates opportunities to:
Develop a personal sense of self
Develop healthy relationships and respect for others
Experience the joy of meaningful thought and ideas
These things can’t be anything but GOOD for the human race.

Executive functions (the skills that help you to get things done)
And then there’s Social Cognition which is how we process, store and apply information about others
There’s the development of interpersonal and multidisciplinary dimensions.
ALL OF THE ABOVE ARE INFUSED IN PERFORMING ARTS EDUCATION
